The Honda signs come down in Rutherford Street.

The Honda signs have come down to go back up shortly just down the road.

This week some big changes in the Bowater Motor Group have become quite obvious, and no longer are just something being quietly planned and discussed within the group. Now it is all right out there as the Bowater Honda signs have come down from the building on one of Nelson's busiest intersections - Rutherford and Hardy Streets.

This is probably causing a few questions around town and quiet murmerings as to what is going on. The long and the short of it is that Bowater Honda is moving in the New Year to a more centrally located building in Achilles Ave that is being rennovated as we speak to create a stunning new showroom.

The team from The Little Pig Building Company have done a wonderful job on converting one of the groups new vehicle preparation buildings into a purpose designed new Honda showroom.

The decision to move Bowater Honda up the road to the new location in the entrance to the Wakatu Carpark is all part of a bigger plan which will ultimately see the Bowater Motor Group add another string or two to it's bow.

Moving a vehicle delearship is not quite as simple as moving a yard full of cars up the road. These days there is the whole information systems aspect to consider as well as franchise guidelines and expectations on interior design and signage to be considered.

However this also allows us the opportunity to purpose design a space that meets the needs of the existing and future Bowater Honda customers. A space that is functional and modern with an emphasis on a high quality of lighting and spacial atmosphere.
A space that enhances your mood and uplifts your spirit.
A place where you can begin your next car journey.

This week has been all about the signage, and getting things right as this was the first big public display that some form of change was afoot.

The signs came down from the existing delearship on the corner of Rutherford and Hardy Street's, and were given a spring clean before making their way over to the new showroom in Achilles Ave where preparations are underway to get them back up again.

The new carpet is also in the process of going in so things are progressively getting closer to the move in of office furniture and some cars.

The new space as you can see is very light, fresh and modern, and with the addition of some feature displays of the Honda range of cars it is going to look stunning! Wait until you see the artwork we have being made.....
