High Performance Veloster Turbo arrives in Nelson
Hyundai Motors New Zealand has announced the arrival of its all-new Veloster Turbo in showrooms, which means that we now have one to see and drive at Bowater Hyundai on Hardy Street. For those in the know, the arrival of the turbo version of this widely praised model is much anticipated as the extra kick of power gives this car a whole different purpose.
Powered by the all-new 1.6-litre turbo engine, the Veloster Turbo delivers 262Nm of torque, an increase of 60 per cent, with maximum power increasing nearly 50 per cent to 150kW. This means that the Veloster Turbo will not only turn heads but it will give you an extra thrill when you put your foot down.
A worthy successor for Hyundai's best seller, the new i30
Hyundai New Zealand has launched the new-generation i30; a vehicle the company expects will build on the success of the original model thanks to an all new European design.
Hyundai General Manager Andy Sinclair says the i30 is the company’s best-selling and most awarded model globally and the new-generation i30 really ups the ante against its Europeans rivals.
“The i30 is designed and engineered at Hyundai Motor Europe’s Technical Design Centre in Russelsheim, Germany, and built at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Namyang, South Korea,” he says.
“This car changes the game in value in the small car market. It’s going to be a hit with Kiwis. It really pushes the envelope on design, technology and efficient performance.

Hyundai i40 Wagon crowned Best Estate in the UK

The Hyundai i40 Wagon has held off well-established rivals to take the overall title of Best wagon in the Business Car Manager’s annual awards in the UK.
The awards identify the top company cars across nine distinct categories, and the Hyundai i40 Wagon was chosen as the winner above rivals such as the Ford Mondeo Wagon, Volvo V50 and the Skoda Octavia Estate.
