Andrew Welch is a very busy man. His business, the local franchise for the Travel Brokers (click here), means he is always out and about. He is very passionate about travel, and does a lot of it, so winning a $50 MTA Voucher Bowater Toyota is going to come in very handy for him.
Andrew came along to the Bowater Toyota stand at the recent Golden Bay A&P Show. We were running a draw for the $50 MTA Voucher that required just the filling out of a simple form to enter into the competition. Form filled, a quick look over the new 2012 Toyota Hilux and a chat with Ian, and to his surprise the next week arrived into his inbox a "congratulations" email.
Getting to know Andrew today as we presented him with the voucher began a whole other conversation. The appreciation of a great, honest to goodness, country fair. Something that Takaka does very well.
Andrew, his wife Rachel, and their two young sons spend a lot of time in Golden Bay. They have a bach at Pohara that they have been rebuilding after it got hit in the 2011 floods. They make a point of heading over to the Golden Bay A&P Show each year if possible. This year was no different, a day full of sunshine and promise beckoned, and they headed down the road to enjoy all that is the magic of the Golden Bay A&P Show.
Andrew has an affinity with the A&P side of life, having previously worked on a farm in his younger years up in the Horowhenua.
These days he leads a very different lifestyle, organising travel for individuals and corporates alike. He is very passionate about it, has some great stories, and has travelled the world. He has traveled extensively through over 50 countries spanning 5 continents and lived with the locals in the U.K, South East Asia, U.S.A and Australia. These life experiences mean that he can confidently give personal recommendations and suggest destinations that may not have been considered before by his clients.
It is this accumulation of experiences, plus the fact that he is very approachable and easy to talk too, that makes Andrew Welch so successful at what he does.
