Come and visit Bowater Toyota at the Nelson A&P Show
Roll up! Roll up! Have we got some deals for you this show week!
It is showtime - one of those great kiwi traditions, and much like the Bowater Motor Group, the local Nelson A&P (Agricultural and Pastoral) Show has been around for generations.
Once upon a time it was solely the domain of the farming and horticulture community, a weekend where the farmers got on their best aertex shirt, the ladies got dolled up and their best cakes and preserves in order, the chequebooks came out and the deals were done. Over generations the A&P Show has amalgamated more of the fun stuff, become a little bit more town as well as country - the rides, the sideshows, the demonstrations in the main ring, but the feel has stayed the same. A celebration of a way of life that is entirely New Zealand!
The weekend of the 24-25th November is the annual Nelson A&P Show, held at the Richmond Showgrounds. Bowater Toyota will be there again this year, presenting the locals the latest from Toyota and Lexus. And we will be doing some crazy deals.
This year we are even giving away an iPad3, and a whole bunch of Toyota 86 branded gear - as well as showing off the best that Toyota and Lexus has to offer.
How to cut your petrol bill by driving smarter.
Petrol prices are at high levels all over the industrialised world yet motorists can make a tankful last a lot longer if they abide by some savvy saving principles.
Eco-driving can be practised by anyone, say experts from Germany's motor trade federation ZDK, consumer groups and the big motoring clubs.
We have seen this personally during the Prius Challenge that Bowater Toyota held during the early part of 2012, with challengers being able to almost cut their fuel consumption in half with a change of attitude and driving style. Following is a summary of their tips:

Chris Bowater presents the local mayors with another round of Honda TreeFund money
Bowater Honda CEO Chris Bowater (far right) was very happy to be able to present the Mayor of Nelson, Aldo Miccio (left), and the Mayor of Tasman, Richard Kempthorne (centre), with another set of Honda TreeFund cheques recently at the Bowater Honda showroom.
The Honda TreeFund is a fantastic initiative that enables our customers to become involved in the greening of our own local community and to encourage the planting of native flora.
It has been a very successful programme, with $70,000 funding provided in the Nelson - Tasman region, which equates to around 13,500 trees, and we are still planting!
