We are committed to Safer Motoring by investing in the best technology
Every once in a while you get the opportunity to consider how much your safety is worth.
Once of the great benefits of the rapid pace of technology is the development and deployment of speciality testing equipment. Bowater Toyota have been very lucky to be able to install in our central Nelson workshop some of this latest technology - the Safe-T-Stop diagnostic equipment.
It basically works like a drive on weigh bridge type system of very finely tuned and incredibly accurate sensors. It can quickly detect how multiple safety systems in your vehicle perform under normal and emergency situations. And then it gives you an accurate and detailed report that will enable you to take the necessary actions in the event an imbalance is just starting or overwhelmingly compromising the safety of your vehicle, and in turn your self and your family.
The Honda signs come down in Rutherford Street.
The Honda signs have come down to go back up shortly just down the road.
This week some big changes in the Bowater Motor Group have become quite obvious, and no longer are just something being quietly planned and discussed within the group. Now it is all right out there as the Bowater Honda signs have come down from the building on one of Nelson's busiest intersections - Rutherford and Hardy Streets.
This is probably causing a few questions around town and quiet murmerings as to what is going on. The long and the short of it is that Bowater Honda is moving in the New Year to a more centrally located building in Achilles Ave that is being rennovated as we speak to create a stunning new showroom.
The team from The Little Pig Building Company have done a wonderful job on converting one of the groups new vehicle preparation buildings into a purpose designed new Honda showroom.
The decision to move Bowater Honda up the road to the new location in the entrance to the Wakatu Carpark is all part of a bigger plan which will ultimately see the Bowater Motor Group add another string or two to it's bow.
Tony Bowater has a close shave with the Mayor
Nelson Mayor Rachel Reese, Bowater Toyoa CEO Tony Bowater & Shawn Stormann from Stormy's Man Cave
Whilst Bowater Toyota CEO Tony Bowater has been rocking an excellent 1980's style M.O.T Moustache all good things must come to an end, and with the end of Movember here he couldn't wait to be rid of the itchy and drink spilling cookie duster!
Unfortunately for Tony we kept him going with the Mo for an extra couple of days so that we could make a bit of a song and dance about the removal of it and try and gather some extra donations as the actual cutoff for raising money is December 10th, so in other words watch the video and go and donate!!!! Click here to head to our Movember page - after all this is the whole reason we are doing this, to raise both money and awareness of a really great cause.
After being gently persuaded that keeping the moustache an extra couple of days would be for the good of the cause Tony agreed to a visit to Stormy's Man Cave in the Farmers Arcade to experience, for the first time ever, a true "gentlemans shave". What we didn't tell him was that new Nelson Mayor Rachel Reese would be the one in charge of the clippers, also for the first time ever!
We were there with the video camera to record such an event for prosperity....
Sheryl takes the CRV to Golden Bay for an action packed weekend!
When it comes to knowing the product you are selling what better way to describe a vehicle's actual real world performance than to personally experience it.
Bowater Honda's new salesperson Sheryl Wearing discusses her recent trip over to Golden Bay for a weekend away, and shares some beautiful photos of a stunning part of the country, made all the more accessible by the "up for anything" Honda CRV.
"The opportunity to drive the 2013 4WD 2.4N Honda Sport CR-V to Golden Bay was ideal particularly as getting to Cape Farewell Horse Treks included both sealed & gravel roads, the steep Takaka hill plus several long straights. As a woman used to smaller around town cars rather than bigger 4WD SUV's I was initially a little nervous, but this was quickly eased once inside the comfortable and beautifully laid out car.
