Ever since our humble beginnings in downtown Nelson in 1945 the Bowater Motor Group has been very focused on community involvement. We believe that you are only ever as successful as the support that you can give back. It is with this philosophy that we continue to be as involved as we can be in the wider Nelson / Tasman community.
This section of the website houses stories, links and content from a collective of organisations and events that we are involved with or support through sponsorship or partnerships.
The menu to the right has got comprehensive articles from those events, organisations and charities that we regularly involved with, click on the menu items to read more, or scroll down this page to keep up with events as they unfold.
If you think you have an event, organisation or group that would benefit from our community interest feel free to contact us.
Kicking off another MOVEMBER with the 2016 team getting onboard and looking forward to the hairiness
We are doing it again, and taking it very seriously. Since the last time we MOVEMBERed properly one of our team was struck down by Prostate Cancer, so now it rings true a little more. Lets all get behind it and do it properly!
The lads out at Bowater Toyota's Richmond Branch are keen as mustard for this year's Movember Foundation New Zealand fundraiser. Some of them have shaved off facial hair that has been there for a very very long time. #movember #charity #bowaters

It's not just the lads at Bowater Toyota in Richmond stepping up to the plate - many of the others within the Bowater Motor Group are keen to 'stache up.

This year the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce are doing things a little differently.
This year Bowater Honda are coming to the party and providing a brand new, head turning, heart thumping 2016 Honda Civic for the Supreme Winner to have at their disposal for 3 months.
It is guaranteed to be a big year for the 2016 Nelson Pine Industries Chamber of Commerce Supreme Award Winners. The addition of a fully signwritten 2016 Honda Civic to use for 3 months is certainly going to get their business noticed on the street's of our region. A very stylish mobile billboard is a valuable asset in anyone's language!
The team from the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce stopped by to make this great video with Nick from Bowater Honda explaining the awesomeness of the additional prize.

Are you ready to rumble? The Fight for Victory gets underway at Bowater Hyundai and Isuzu.
This November 5th will see the Trafalgar Centre rumbling to the familiar sound of excitement as the 3rd round of the Victory Boxing annual Fundraiser gets underway.
Bowater Hyundai and Isuzu have stood behind this awesome community event since the start, when our very own Chris Bowater, CEO of Bowater Hyundai and Isuzu, stepped into the ring with the then Mayor of Nelson, Aldo Miccio. It was an inspirational fight and much sweat was left on the canvas as these two stepped up and gave it all that they had.
It was only fitting then that Bowater Hyundai and Isuzu host the launch event for Victory Boxing's Fight for Victory 3 at their central city showroom on the corner of Rutherford and Hardy St on Friday 8th July from 5:30 - 7:30pm.
2016 Good in the Hood has been great for Motueka
Motueka - you are more than Good in the Hood - you are amazing to the community!
What a fantastic month of charitable work the good folks of Motueka have particiapted in! First and foremost, a massive thankyou to everyone for all of the hard work. The charities for coming along to our busy Service Station to promote the month of voting, the customers for getting behind the promotion and voting, and Z Energy for putting the whole thing together. It is an absolute pleasure to be able to donate $5,000 to worthy charities in the wider Motueka area!
Check out the video we made of the official handover of the donations to the charities - what an awesome group of people working hard to make our community a better place for everyone! Z Bowater Motors is immensely proud to be a part of helping these charities to further help the greater community.
