These new Toyota deals will put wind in your sails!
There are a few sporting events that capture the collective imagination and attention of the country every once in a while. One of those is the America's Cup.
It is an event that has been a part of the national psyche since the Fremantle races back in 1987. Since then New Zealand has always been a large part of the regatta, and Toyota New Zealand have been there as a sponsor helping to make it all work. Remember the Red Socks? Remember KZ7 and later the secrecy over the winged keels?
As a part of this excitement, Toyota have put together some fantastic deals across all of the range, called the the Lean With Us Deals*!
Not only is there some very sharp pricing on a range of new vehicles that will knock your red socks off, but there are a whole lot of extras as well!
Now is a great time to stop by the friendly team at Bowater Toyota. They can show you through the benefits of each of the various models within the ranges and find you the perfect vehicle for your needs. You can also take a look at our "Lean With Us" display and use it as a backdrop for your own entry into the Toyota competition to win a trip to san Francisco to see the final!
The America's Cup is a great time for those lovers of sport, or those keen on puffing out the chest with national pride. This year is going to be extra exciting with the addition of the speedracer cats racing along at over twice the wind speed! If you want to find out more about this technology keep on reading - Toyota have made some great videos with the help of the crew of Emirates Team New Zealand to help us all understand just what is being used, and what is at stake!
Tasman Councillor, and BMG Family member Judene Edgar Among Leaders For Silent Leadership 2013
On Friday 2 August 2013 local Tasman councillor, and wife of the Bowater Motor Group's CFO, Judene Edgar, will be taking part in the inaugural Silent Leadership Challenge; a hearing loss challenge for corporate and community leaders to raise awareness and funds for The National Foundation for the Deaf.
Throughout the day Judene will undertake four challenges – one-to-one meeting, team meeting, social get-together and watching TV at home – while wearing ear protectors to simulate deafness, robbing her of her full ability to communicate.
This is a daily reality for one in six New Zealanders who are deaf or hearing impaired.
By experiencing hearing impairment on Friday 2 August, participants will be at the cutting edge of vital campaigns to change attitudes and improve the quality of life for deaf and hearing impaired New Zealanders.
Bowater Toyota are all about the lean
Bowater Toyota CEO Tony Bowater signs the Emirates Team New Zealand dagger board as it tours the country.
The Amercia's Cup is quite a big deal here in New Zealand. It has been a quintessential sporting event for decades and has seen the Kiwi Spirit swell with pride with wins, and collectively sigh when it all turns to custard out on the merciless seas.
Toyota has been a big part of this journey, and through the years has been a consistent sponsor of the NZ Challenge.
This year, in the waters of San Francisco Emirates Team New Zealand will be doing it all over again, and Toyota, as ever are right there too, both on the water with the boat, and also here at home with an engaging new campaign to get our small nation excited about this new challenge.
'Lean with us' is a fun way to show your support for Emirates Team New Zealand as they battle it out to win the America's Cup. It is all about getting your lean on. Toyota want you to take a funny or innovative 'leaning' photo and upload it to their website < www.leanwithus.co.nz > and show the team you're 100% behind them. Plus you could win some excellent prizes.
The more Kiwis that 'Lean with us' the more motivated they'll be to win!
The team at Bowater Toyota are very excited about the America's Cup. Every challenge has been something special, and something special has been done to celebrate.
This year Toyota have taken the Lean With Us roadshow around the country, stopping in at the delearships to get the replica dagger board signed, which will then be shipped over to Emirates Team New Zealand over in San Fran, hopefully inspiring them just a little more.
The stop over in Nelson gave the Toyota team the chance to enjoy some fabulous Nelson sunshine, and get their Hilux professionally groomed thanks to Tom! The staff got in on the action and wrote some great messages to our America's Cup heros.
Bowater Hyundai's service team untangle a nasty situation
Gordan Mains, one of our highly trained Hyundai technicians at work behind the scenes.
It is always very nice to receive positive feedback, especially from customers.
Local lady Edith Shaw found herself in a spot of bother recently and had to call on the skills of one of our service technicians, Gordon Mains.
The whole experience left her a little frazzled, but it was dealt with quickly and without too much fuss. Afterwards she felt so pleased with her experience with the service department at Bowater Hyundai she felt compelled to let Hyundai know.
Hyundai New Zealand head office sent her letter out to all sorts of Hyundai types all around the country.
This in turn has come back to the Bowater Hyundai team here in Nelson, who are understandably a little bit coy about the whole thing, afterall, they were just doing their job.
However it is great to know that those "jobs" can have a huge impact on someone's day.
The Bowater Motor Group is always very pleased to hear reports like this - appreciation is always appreciated!
